Lois Smithers was an avid equestrian most of her life sustaining many competition injuries along the way. Two fractured vertebra in 89’ ended her first 12 year paralegal career, followed by lengthy rehabilitation in which those injuries healed. Unable to return to sitting in Courtrooms, she opened an English equestrian store growing to a chain of four over 10 years until 99’ when the injuries resurfaced. Facing physicians’ very real concerns that a wheelchair would soon be in the future, the stores were sold, decades of riding ended followed by six disabling years of pain-filled inflammation. Then, quite by chance, a friend sent a bottle of Seabiotics, Alky Transfactor, to her in December, 2005. Today, two and a half years later, even though the injuries are still there, pain and inflammation are a thing of the past as are those disabling years. She lives on the Bay in beautiful Coconut Grove, FL, passionately dedicated to helping people improve their health with Seabiotics products by sharing information, writing articles and books, and growing Sea-Based Health, LLC. Lois has written numerous articles on Omega-3s, EPA, DHA, ALA and Alkylglycerols a few of which were translated into several languages and an expose “The Food Industry’s Greed: How Misleading Labeling of Omega-3 Foods Undermines American Health.” She is now writing a sequel to “The Food Industry’s Greed.”
In her former career as a high school Family & Consumer Sciences (Home Ec.) teacher, Debra Morgan truly enjoyed sharing her expertise in foods and nutrition with her students. A walking testimony to the numerous benefits of marine based Omega-3, Debra’s overall health and that of her daughter’s vastly improved after adding Seabiotics Alkyl Transfactor to their daily regimens.
Recently retired from teaching, she views the world as her classroom and is thrilled to continue her passion of being an advocate for consumer awareness and healthy eating, spreading the benefits of Seabiotics through Sea-Based Health, LLC. Debra lives in Trumbull, CT., with her daughter, Emily.
